Please explain MFE and MAE columns in the Trade List reports
I cannot find an explanation of the MFE and MAE columns in the Trade List reports generated by Trade Simulation in the "Trading Leveraged ETFs with ConnorsRSI" template. I understand they stand for Max Favourable Excursion and Max Adverse Excursion, but don't see how they are derived.
Re: Please explain MFE and MAE columns in the Trade List rep
Based on my calculations, after running that template, the MFE is the number of shares of an individual trade multiplied by the difference between the highest High price reached while in the trade and the Entry Price of the trade; and the MAE is the number of shares of an individual trade multiplied by the difference between the lowest Low price reached while in the trade and the Entry Price of the trade.
It appears that the formulas for those calculations are not in the any of the spreadsheets we users have access to so those calculations maybe hardcoded into Edgerater PRO itself.
Hope this helps until Chris answers,
Ed S.

Thanks Ed. Not important to the report results, but interesting to know.
