Rank by volume

Post by nichjoht »

Chris,

sorry if this is a question to silly, I´ve gotten a little rusty on using EdgeRater.

How do I rank my stocks in the Entry tab so that, of all the stocks that have a buy signal I´ll buy the top 10 that have the most volume.

Hi John,

You can use the Rank Selector and select the 'Top N' selector from the managed code tab. Then select the Moving Average function within that and choose to rank by the moving average of Volume:
Top 2 stocks by average volume
Top 2 stocks by average volume

In your case you would set N to be 10 for the top 10 stocks. Then those stocks would be used for entries by the Trade Simulation tab

Chris.
