In the previous section we obtained a list of entry signals. These signals can be used to drive a trade simulation that has a time based exit. However the next quick start topic on Trade Simulation uses technical exit criteria which is based on a scan of stocks that cross the lower Bollinger Band.
Task
Generate a grid of ‘Exit’ signals which indicate when a stock crosses below its lower Bollinger Band
Step
Select the ‘Exits’ design area of the ‘Entries and Exits’ tab
The Exits section of the Entries and Exits tab
Step
Add the BLBB (Below Lower Bollinger Band) scan to the Security Selector and run it
Exit Signals after running the BLBB scan (cross below lower Bollinger Band)
You can view the signals on a chart as before if you wish but for this quick-start tutorial we will just use the generated entry and exit signals within the Trade Simulation.
