MetaStock data format has become an industry standard. Many service providers allow you to download stock price data and store it in MetaStock files on your hard drive. If you have MetaStock data files on your computer EdgeRater can read that data.
The MetaStock data provider
The MetaStock data provider needs to know where on your hard drive your MetaStock files are. This can be set in the ‘Files Location’ section. In the above screenshot you can see that the provider is looking for MetaStock data in a folder on the C drive called ‘MetaStock Data’.
This data provider will search all files and subfolders of the specified folder for data.
